St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl
The St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl, featuring music and drink specials from East End businesses Red Carpet, Empty Glass, Blue Grass Kitchen, Fireside Lounge, Tricky Fish, Monkey Barrel, Lee Street lounge, and Broadway, might as well be the official kick-off to springtime fun in West Virginia’s capital city.
Now in its 8th year, StreetWorks has been transforming Washington Street East into a mile long art gallery. Held each year in conjunction with FestivAll, local artists submit works to be auction, which are then installed as public art along the Washington Street corridor. This initiative has resulted in the installation of XXX public art pieces on the East End.
Foam at the Dome
Foam at the Dome is Charleston Main Streets’ dual-district fundraiser. Held in early May at Laidley Field on Charleston’s East End, over 2,500 attendees enjoy live music from local bands, delicious food from Charleston eateries, and over 250 beers from 70+ breweries.
With around 500 volunteers working annually to help revitalize our West Side and East End communities, this is our way of recognizing those community members that go above and beyond. Alternating between End End and West Side venues, the 2017 Urbanite Awards will be held on Charleston’s West Side in mid-November.
