The Charleston Main Streets East End Board of Advisors is the 21-member elected body that represents the programmatic arm for the East End department of the organization. Comprised of volunteers including business owners, property owners, major anchor business representatives, elected officials, and many other members of the community that serve staggered 3-year terms, the Board of Advisors works in collaboration with the East End District Program Director to oversee all programmatic work plan items on a yearly basis. The BOA works hand in hand with staff to lead the program and provides insight, expertise, and one-of- a-kind commitment to the ongoing revitalization of the East End business district.
The Board is comprised of 4 main committees (Program Development, Economic Development, Marketing and Promotions, and Urban Design) and sub-committees (HallowEast, Bazaar, and Green in the East End). Committees are open to any member of the community willing to serve, but must be chaired by a BOA member or staff.
